Parley is a commonwealth of academic and creative works that symbolize the excellence and diversity of PPSC’s student body. It is a student publication in every sense of the phrase: all works showcased are created and edited by students. We encourage all students to submit writing, artwork, photography, and music. The content displays an eclectic range of topics. Parley is an academic journal with style and volume.

SITREP is our celebration of the wider military community in Colorado Springs. In partnership with Military and Veterans Programs at PPSC, we publish a round of works online in November of any year and a hard copy in spring.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

  • Please provide a brief cover letter for your submission with details about yourself and the work you have submitted, including:
    • Your full name (or the name that you wish to publish under)
    • Your affiliation with PPSC (“This is my second semester at Pikes Peak…”)
    • Contact information, including an email address where we can reach you should your work be chosen for publication
    • Titles of each individual piece in your submission
  • Files should be attached as .pdf, .docx/.doc, .jpeg, .png (Make sure we can open your files!)
  • Submissions are open year-round, and the publishing process runs from January to March of any year. If you submit outside of that time period, you may wait some time before hearing from our student editors.
  • We encourage submissions of creative and academic prose, poetry, dramatic play-writing, photography and other visual artwork.

Please Note: Be sure to check the email address that you have provided with your submission! After articles are submitted, they may go through an editing and approval process. In the cases of artwork or photography, we may contact the artists to discuss how the works will be featured.
